But, Mike, the trouble with this as a puzzle is that Black should win pretty easily here by a lot of different routes. I mean, he's up in raw material by 31-21 in pawn-points and White doesn't have a serious threat at the moment, does he?
Maybe you could figure a way to add ten pawn-points to White's side in some reasonable way, Mike--perhaps up in the upper right corner somewhere--without messing up your continuations, but then, after your 1...Ref8, 2. Qxf8+ Rxf8 3. Rxf8+ and White has both rooks for his queen, usually a good trade.
