There is actually a chess variant called "horde" that is similar to this. In fact, chess.com beta is currently working on possibly bringing it chess.com in the near future.

I slightly rigged the other team so it can be not as hard. In order to play, click on the search icon below the puzzle. Then at the bottom left look for the vs. computer icon and then your there.
