Are there any updates about fixing the puzzle algorithm? This current version is making it barely worth playing, and not reflective of much learning or effort potential.

The puzzle algorithm changes have been a big talking point lately. A few of us have noticed similar things, especially with how rating gains/losses don’t always seem to match the effort or difficulty of the puzzle.
The devs may still be fine-tuning things under the hood. In the meantime, I’d recommend sharing specific examples (puzzle IDs, rating swings, etc.) with Chess.com Support - they do pass that kind of feedback to the team.
Hopefully, we see a more balanced update soon, the puzzle community is one of the best parts of the site when it’s working as intended ♟️
