 I realize this but luckily my opponent (my father, actually. haha) was none the wiser and just captured the queen, as shown above. I should have provided some description as what I posted isn't really a puzzle, in which both parties must play their best possible responses, but more of a simple display of tactical execution.

@aadaam - in your puzzle in comment #430 1. Qd8+ Be8 2. Qxe7# is an alternative solution.  The dark bishop has the rook pinned and the light bishop defends the light squares around the king.
