There's no way the White King could have ended up where it is if that were the 8th rank, so the board must be flipped. This mean's White is in check, and so it must be his move.
I'll start the ball rolling on this one - there appears to be no way the WK could reach his current position, since he could not have "crossed" the sixth rank without moving into check . . . so what am I missing?
What you're missing is that what appears to be the sixth rank is in fact the third. See my post above.
Looks like Grobe is right . . . is this a "board flipped" situation? With the last move being Black playing pg2+?
Yes -- a little too easy today. Keep them coming though derUbermensch, I'm enjoying the retrograde puzzles alot. It's a nice change.

For today's puzzle, using the diagram below, you must ascertain which side made the last move! (It say's White to move, but only because there has to be something, and that is default.... ignore it).
