Epic Chess. 

White to move and mate in 7.

The Black Queen is cut off from her pieces. In the heat of destroying White's kingside, Black misses a decisive attack on his king.

Here is the solution: 

1. Bxh8+ Kg10 2. Bxg6! fg 3. Rxg6+ Bxg6 4. Qxg6+ Ng7 5. Qxg7+ Kh9 6. Qg9+ Ki10 7. Rj10#

It is clear that trouble will come to Black along the last rank. White's moves must be accurate.

The solution:

1. Bd7! Re10 (nothing else) 2. Rd10 Rxd10 3. Qd9 Rxd7 4. Nxd7 Rxd9 5. Rc10+ Rd10 6. Rxd10#
