King can't go to f4 as the Knight on d5 controls f4, and the Bishop on a7 prevents the King going to d4.
However, the Black Rook on h2 would capture the White Rook on h5, which is the piece giving check. So it's not checkmate in 1.
The Knight on f5 only cuts the Black King off from d4 and d6, but d4 is also controlled by the Bishop on a7, and d6 by the White Queen. So the White Knight isn't needed to keep the Black King "controlled", but it does prevent the Rook on h5 from delivering check. But that Rook can be taken by the Black Rook on h2, so one just moves the White Knight to h4, preventing capture of the h5 Rook, putting the Black King in check, with all the surrounding squares controlled by the Knight on d5, the White Bishop on a7, and the White Queen. The White Knight on d5 can't be captured as it's protected by the other rook, which is in threat of capture by the Black Queen, but it's one move too late. And the King can't capture the Bishop, as it's protected by pawns. So, it's mate.
Thanks for that. It was an interesting puzzle that looks deceptively easy at first glance.

Its a pretty simple process of elimination.

Ba7 cant mate in one, with neither move.

Pd3 and Pf3 cant mate in one.

Tb5 cant mate, because its not even defended and if the Nd5 moves, f4 is no longer under attack.

Qg6 cant mate in one.

Leaves Th5. If the Nf5 moves, then d4 is still under attack from the Ba7. The Th5 can be taken, but that can be blocked with moving the knight into the way.

Thus Nh4#

You are just making a fool of yourself by guessing every move that's not working.

Make the move 1.Nh4, which creates a discovered check by the rook. Then explain what black can do to stop it from being checkmate, causing white to make another move.
