I thought it said h8 so my coordinates are wrong. You are correct b8=Q is mate in two. The problem is to be solved as mate in one.

I believe that for every wrong check the black king has only one escape square, never 2. The puzzle is masterfully constructed.
I also think that it's bad manners by the OP to not mention the author of the puzzle.
