Here's one that's pretty obvious. It's white to move and mate in 6. Can it be stopped?
It's all forced moves, so, no, it cannot.
Here's another that is funny because it breaks the rules of chess. It is impossible to solve without doing so, so don't try. It's white to move and mate in 1.
It appears impossible, but the answer is to promote the white pawn to a black knight, depriving the king of his only escape square.
