lol the power of the tempo! Some of the ideas were not so easy but the moves in between were standard

That position looks like a Rorschach Test!

easy puzzle but very fun! Should be a pain to play this in correspondence chess!

I agree with this. It would be horrible to play this in a correspondence game.

Amazing.

when you look at this puzzle...you know it's a victory for white...so what's the point?

Avatar of EchosMyron

I can look at a lot of positions for white and see that it's a victory that doesn't always mean I know the best way of achieving it. Great puzzle!

not really, all you have to do is set conditional moves for this 50 move checkmate. If your opponent deviates, you mate quicker.

fun

well... it does take 50 moves, but it doesn't need any special accuracy, and mate in 51 won't make much a difference, so... not such a cool puzzle, but nice zugzwang applications. after you see one of these kind of puzzles you've solved them all, maybe... :)

Avatar of mattbeamon

black would have never moved his king in that position this was so stupid.

Avatar of kungfoodchef

that was so cool

But that method is the only way to win. Thats why the puzzle is good

I liked for the very reason that it is so improbable ...as well as being unique
