White in two     by Hian Bwee 4th prize,15th Olympic Tourney, 1962

Similar in a way to van Dijks problem by means of the 4 Novotny's on f7 and g3 with 2 checkmate threats each but they are scattered over the board rather than concentrated on the central squares. Nevertheless an excellent construction. I had trouble finding the ...Qb3! and ..Qb1! defenses against the tries!

Here is a different version of this problem with a considerable number of extras! Would have been good for 2nd prize in 1962 I bet! wink.png

Consider: Qxa6, Qxb7, Qe6, Bf7, Rf7, Bxh2, Bg3, Bxc7, Rxh3, Rg3
