how would YOU rate these puzzles on a scale of 1-10, 1 being easy and 10 being very hard.

 I would say between 3 and 4.

On the second puzzle, isn't 3.Rd8 quicker?

For example,

3...Ba3 4.Nxf7#

3...Rxd8 4.Nxf7#

 actually it's longer because it's not a check move and gives black a chance to open up a little by moving the h pawn out he will lose any way though.
