This is fiendishly difficult, but what is Black's best move?
i think the best move is rook to g8 to avoid the mate!
If nobody gets this, in a few days I'll just post the answer. But I hope you try to figure it out; all guesses are welcome.
The right move is obviously a rook move since the king needs air but the rook needs to be used as a shield too, so the answer is Re7 to allow the king to pivot on e6 and hide on d7.
