Puzzle: Fischer's Mate in 6
@Islemgo It is a mate but this is how Fischer mated. There are many mates in this puzzle but I clearly mentioned in the title that this is how Fischer mated.
What a beautiful checkmate! Artistic I could say This is another proof among the many of Robert James Fischer brilliancy.
6.Kc1 then what about Ba3#
That's not a mate, there is still Kb1, Rb2+ (Ka1, Rd2, *any move Rd1#) or (Kc1 Rc2+, Kb1 Rc1#).
So It's Ba3+, not Ba3#

In case you missed it Kb1 is guarded by the black knight. You should make sure next time.
Also, I believe this game was taken from Fischer's game of the century? This mate is the least impressive part of the game.
Very nice puzzle @satviking1209 . We don't have to forget that from now on white is going to have a hard time stopping that two pawns

There is no Kb1 available...
@dinuldre IF WE PLACE THE KNIGHT ON C8 THIS WILL KILL ONE PAWN
Don't forget that after the white knight captures the black queen, it is going to be the black turn to move, so with advancing the pawn from a7 to a6, the white knight to c8 is useless

Indeed after ... a6 ! as you note getting the knight to blockade looks rather difficult.
Advance both kings to the centre, white plays say Nc4 and black plays ... b5 --- tight.
