Puzzles New Scoring system

Lately they have changed something regarding scoring in puzzles.  If you solve you generally get 5 point but if you don't you are deducted anything from 10 to 20 points. This is unfair and dull.  Previously you could get far more points especially if solved in time and that's how I got to 2406.  Now its become much more difficult.

Any opinions?

There's a newer puzzle Difficulty setting. Try changing to Hard or Extra Hard

I lost 20-40 points! 5 points for correct solution. However, difficulty ratings, although higher, are still manageable so I can get long streaks of correct answers. I'm comfortable solving 3400 level puzzles now, but I just achieved 3600 rating!

I have noticed that I get 5.for every puzzle right but above 15.for every wrong

You have a -14 on your last 25 completed puzzles. How much you lose depends on the puzzle rating versus your puzzle rating.
