You should always try to understand the puzzle and if you didn't solve it correctly, then take it to the analysis board to find out what you missed and why that solution is best and similarly why your incorrect answer wasn't as good.
Based on the features of the chess position, you might also be able to find other "clues" which help you navigate the position. For example, if you are down by a bunch of material, then you know the puzzle solution is probably a forced checkmate, or a tactic which wins their Queen or something big because you are down by a lot of material.
One general tip of advice in puzzles (as well as in a real game) is to always consider checks, captures and threats (usually in that order) because this will help you calculate the more forcing options first and this usually gives you a better idea of what the puzzle might be about.
So I’ve heard many things but I now my chaotic mind is wanting to make it into statistics but besides that what is a way you recommend getting higher into puzzles after they get hard because by then you have reached the correct rating about since you are starting to struggle I’ve heard a very common answer of start taking time on the puzzles to under stand the answer and why that is the answer etc. I really just want to know what the most common and productive way of improving puzzles rating is (as I’m constantly stuck in 1200).
