Yes, that´s the puzzle I mean. Ok, possible, but in that case he was an idiot not to see ...Qc8#, and got his just desserts!
Good job guys, and good job BigDogg for finding out about the trick (discovered pin creates zugzwang).
There is one challenge left, if the interest in the thread dies I'll post the solution and finish with it.
Here's the solution to the last challenge. My idea was to exploit the triple pin mechanic.
shoopi, in your last solution the white king can take the rook 1. Kxb2 instead of 1. Bxd5+. You have to protect the rook somehow on b2. Otherwise the alternating discovered check is very spectacular.
Yeah I just did it from memory, it's suppose to be a black bishop. Thanks for the correction!

me too. totally. When I saw the first one I thought "oh no, this thread is going to become my favorite" and then I saw all those queens and rooks...but its still a lovely and fun concept!

You fall in the same trap as I did at first. Moves have to be forced for both sides, that's what makes the challenge interesting. In your example, White has plenty of valid moves.
