Tactics theme: Give and Go

There's a king-chasing pattern that I don't see a Theme for. Here's a weak example:

It may not be the best example but the pattern is from Ultimate Frisbee. Two players running down the field can pass it back and forth and keep running. They have to be careful not to be called for traveling, so it's good to release the pass while still on the run. Between is an unfortunate defender, attempting to leap and turn while the frisbee eludes him.

In chess, I've seen a pattern where the King is on a file and a rook and Queen control the files on either side of it. The rook advances to give the King a check, and the Queen advances beside the rook. This can continue until the king meets his doom at the the 8th rank or the 1st rank or some other obstacle.

That reminds me of Ultimate Frisbee. But it can go sideways too, across some ranks.

It would do my heart glad to see this pattern called the Give-and-Go. I can't run like I used to, but I can recall my glory days on the Ultimate field.
