The puzzles problem

How come when I get a puzzle correct I gain so little elo but when I get one wrong I lose so much. Also I am on the last puzzle levels and I am still being given so little amount of elo when I get it correct and lose so much when I get it wrong.

Since the launch of the new puzzles rating system (explained here: https://www.chess.com/news/view/announcing-new-puzzles-rating-system), you can change the puzzles difficulty in https://www.chess.com/settings/gameplay.
With "Difficulty = Standard", the system proposes puzzles that are too easy (so you lose more puzzle rating for failing in a puzzle than you get for completing it). But if you choose "Difficulty = Extra Hard", the system should propose puzzles close to your puzzle rating (and you will lose or get similar puzzle rating).
