Your mate is possible. However, your relying on black to make stupid moves as such. The forced mate is much better. This way can result in trading of material. Yet, white is up a pawn so...

 I cant see every move but if backs king just moves to D colume then whites have a hard time stopping a blacks win.  All in all I like the mate in 6 better.

My question is how the hell did black not mate White on the move before the puzzle started?
