Tricky Mate in 5!
dont understand why the knight did not take the queen on move 2?o the q would be taken anyways...........................
I just updated the puzzle, I saw a flaw earlier where black could defend the checkmate, but now I fixed it. Any posters before this post, please try the puzzle again after refreshing page :).
Why does Bh6+ on move 3 not work ? After Black plays Qg7, Bxg7# or Qxg7# right? Or am I missing something ?
tboy, sorry, you're right that would be shorter (4 moves instead of 5), but in the game there was a knight blocking that mate, I apologize I seem to have forgot it because I was constructing the board from scratch.
3. ... c5 resists two moves longer for black. (4. dxc5 b6 [I mean, what else?] 5. cxb6+ Nc5 6. Bxc5+ Qe6 7. Qh8# or Bxe6#)

I had this in a 5-min game, and I was white, and so I made it a puzzle, I can't guarantee it's 100% forced, but let's see how you do:
What do you think?
