holy crap I hate it, I got a 14 streak of correct puzzles, however I get 2 wrong and I have only gained a little, I lost like 30 points total, it will take in-between 8-15 puzzles to get that back. I have a free account so that will take 3-5 days to just get back. can someone explain to me how having a 87.5% correct answers only brings me up a few points a month.

@doubledash2:

Since the launch of the new puzzles rating system (explained here: https://www.chess.com/news/view/announcing-new-puzzles-rating-system), you can change the puzzles difficulty in https://www.chess.com/settings/gameplay.

With "Difficulty = Standard", the system proposes puzzles that are too easy (so you lose more puzzle rating for failing in a puzzle than you get for completing it). But if you choose "Difficulty = Extra Hard", the system should propose puzzles close to your puzzles rating (and you will lose or get similar puzzle rating).

Always put extra hard for the settings, because otherwise you are getting fed easy puzzles. They did it to make jackers feel better, but if you are speed running and trip up, then you lose mass rating points. Extra Hard = Standard in reality, try it.

not speed running, but I will try that monday or whenever I do more puzzles.
