Unfortunatly, I just don't see how this brings top players back. I think you need something that is A. a large change (to attract people's attention) and B. something popular with them

More overall, I like the moving up of solo.
There is a concern: I'm not sure solo is a solution to anything. The purpose of solo is to make people play for first. The problem is, I think people already play for first and we conflate sub-par play with not playing for first. In other words, I think we are experiencing the challenges of not having a large enough player base. Moreover, I wonder if we don't have continuity and have too strong of a player base, if that makes sense. i think we're trying to improve people who don't need to be improved

We have changed the amount of wins and losses for 1st to 4th slightly.

For high rated FFA games, the amount the 3 losers lose will depend less on their rating.
Example before and after this change: The losses are more evenly distributed, and less rating dependent.
Further, the 'morph', aka the gradual change as rating goes up, has been adjusted.
Up to 1800, it's +3 +1 -1 -3, and it gradually changes until +3 -1 -1 -1 at 2400+ (used to be +4 -1.3 -1.3 -1.3 at 2500+, the dotted line is the former system)

A game with average rating of 2100 will be +3 0 -1 -2
We are further discussing, and may well make more, gradual changes later. Admins are discussing if 4th place should be punished more again, eg something like +3 -0.5 -0.5 -2.
