ok??
Should chess be the most important subject in school?

I was in grade school during the Bobby Fischer chess boom. Even then there were only a small percentage of students that played much chess. In High School, we had maybe 8-10 students in our chess club out of over 800 students. Don't think I'd require students to play a game their not interested in. We love chess or we wouldn't play on this site, but trying to mandate chess would be silly. Forcing students to play chess that have no interest would be like forcing me to sing in the choir.
if u force people to play chess when they do not like they will tell their childrem when they grow up and then hatred will grow over the years

Chess is fun, but I don't know if it should be a important subject, and as much as I hate writing reports and study for tests and quizzes, the essentials should stay in the essentials, and the extracurricular stay in the extra curricular in my opinion.
I say this not happy but rather sad as I love to play the game, but we have to remember it is just a game, so it should be played, but not to the extent over school and as a major subject, even Jose Raul Capablanca once said "The ability to play chess is the sign of a gentleman. The ability to play chess well is the sign of a wasted life." - Paul Morphy
Chess is great, however it does have its limits and personally I love it, but the fact is, it is in a different realm and should stay there for the sake of what is needed such as important skills such as critical thinking, communication skills, IT and the knowledge of the interent, skills used such as in excel, microsoft, powerpoint or even social media platforms like Linkedin, Youtube and sometimes MySpace or Facebook for professional business.
The Major subjects is the skills that help a person, and though chess may build some skills, it shouldn't be put as a major subject, that's all.
Some students compete in sports, others excel in music or art. Chess seems to be a niche club level activity after class. Completely voluntary. Don't see why you would try to force it on anyone.
Ok that got me
