Young Chess Players

I recently taught my little brother (6) to play chess and within an hour, he grasped the concept of a gambit and forking pieces and maintained an even position with me with some guidance. (And interestingly, he played a common QGD with no concept of the opening except that he should control the middle. This is surely a coincidence, but I find it humorous and thought I would share.) He seems fairly interested in chess and wants to learn more. Is the ChessKids app on iPod suitable for him? I can teach him more, but I can only play so much since I work, etc.

My other brother (9) also learned how to play, but he seems ready for the chess.com app unless the ChessKids app has some huge advantage.

I think kids will like chesskid more because of the animation.
