Amateur Tourney in Phuket, Thailand?

What do people think of the idea of having a tournament that's as much about having fun, beaches and travel as it is about Chess?  Just curious if there would be interest :)

Of course there is interest. There was quite a high level tournament organised by some czech grandmasters in the islands in Thailand last year. It is not a requisite part of chess that it be played in a sterile hotel ballroom!

I'm months away from thinking about it, but maybe for next year I'd like to organize an "amateurs" tournament in Phuket.  Emphasis on fun and sun and of course winning :)
