Daily Chess Championship Likely Start Date Round 2

When is Round 2 likely to start?

Wish I knew. I checked today. It says 56 games left in this current round. What I don't understand is that I saw at least 3 of those games only had 3 moves. What up with that?

The next round won't start until all groups have completed to a point where no remaining games impact the players that move forward to the next round

I qualified for Round 2.

Suppose I make my every move after 23 hrs and my every opponent does the same. And we play games that are long winded.. it's just a thought query. Can this come to a point where my games in round 2 last so long that it takes 2 or 3 months.

Its just a thought question. Otherwise I wish I can play a move after every 5 mins or lesser

It's correspondence chess, it can take a long time. If a player wants to take 23 hrs. and the time control is 1 move/24 hrs., that player is within the rules.
