I'm sure this has been asked before but just wondered what the longest running daily chess tournament was on chess.com. I'm going to guess 6 years?

This one started in September 2009 and is still going.

That has finished now.

There are a lot of tournaments 99% done. Some never finish.

Would be cool to compare how the contenders rating have changes during the tournament! grin.png

All tournaments eventually finish.   When a tournament says no timeouts it means no time out percentages bar you from joining.   The time control will eventually remove an inactive player, even if conceivably it could take a very long time from vacations.  The longest tournament I have observed on chess.com is now going at twelve years.   I am currently participating in a tournament that is going for eight years.
