Looking for Help: Chess League System with Promotion/Relegation

Hello everyone,

I’ve been brainstorming an idea for a Chess League System and wanted to share it with the community. The concept revolves around having multiple leagues (e.g., 5 divisions) with 20 players per league.

How It Works:

  • Promotion & Relegation:

    • The top 3 players move up to the next league.
    • The bottom 3 players drop to the league below.
    • New players always start in the lowest league and work their way up.

  • Match Format:

    • 10-minute games, Best of 5 (first to win 3 games wins the match).
    • Players schedule their matches themselves within one week (Sunday to Sunday). If no agreement is made, a default time (e.g., Sunday at 7 PM) will apply.

  • Result Reporting:

    • Results are posted in the forum, along with optional screenshots of the games.

My Question:

Does a system like this already exist? I’m curious if there are similar projects out there.

If not, I’d love to start this project and build something together with the community. Organizing this through Discord seems like a great option for communication and coordination.

Looking for Helpers:

I’d need help with:

  • Setting up and managing the leagues.
  • Ensuring smooth communication between players.
  • Updating results and standings weekly.
