lol. you are contradicting with your equation. 0 is not zero, and zero is not 0. But 0 is zero.

Just a question: have you taken Calculus? If so, what university?

you are diverting from probability to calculus. The equation clearly states it equals to zero or 0. No matter what subjects you talk about, it's still 0.

the answer is definitely zero...believe me!

As a math major, I'm with Eric on this one. "zero" is much different from "as X approaches zero", or whatever limit you guys are arguing about.

You are right and wrong on this one.

"as X approaches zero" means x never be 0.

But the equation clearly states it equals to 0.

landwehr, thanks. It is clearly zero, but some just keep their denial. It is zero.

I tell you this. "as X approaches zero", there is no number anymore to represent X, but zero. So X cannot be any number, but 0. So, it is 0.

The whole thing rooted from "1 over infinity = to 0?" How about "1 over infinity" times any number. Currently math clearly states whaetver number, it is multiplied, the answer is 0.

How about "1 over infinity" times infinity. It is NOT equals to 1, but by current math it is "UNDEFINED". What does it mean? It means it can be any number or anything, not necessary 1.

So people try to define "UNDEFINED" is clearly doomed.

This is beautiful.. it's just so darned *cute* when the laity starts arguing foundational real analysis.

ratings matter. No more argument. From now on, fun should be enforced with an ironfist.

I agree - fun should be enforced. "you will do this and you will enjoy it!" - My Aunt used to say that - she didn't understand when we all laughed.

funny i could imagine my aunt saying the same thing.

well, i guess we wold just get some kind of version of the matrix then.

So, the answer is "no". Thanks for playing. I'm out.

I had Calclus  and completed all the classes. Which comment has the equation? Hate to have to hunt among all those pages.

This one. \mathrm{Li}(x)=\int_2^x \frac{1}{\ln x} \, dx

witty conversation! lol!

I too, feel that ratings are what you make of them. They are merely a snapshot of the past performance (dropping games, withdraws, etc. are performance) and are only a guide to future performance. The more effort you put into improving your game, the more accurately it reflects your playing strength at a given point.
