We are a friendly and informal chess club for players of any standard. Even if you don't know how to play chess, come along as well and we'll teach you!

The internet has had an incredible effect on chess. Any player can now sit at a computer and play against players of similar strength from across the world. This is fantastic, but doesn’t give the social experience of actually meeting new people, making friends and learning by talking about the game with other players.

Our aim is to create a friendly environment and community for chess players and enthusiasts to meet and play chess.
