Hi! welcome to my bio. I love planes (as i’m sure you can tell) and I also enjoy playing the bass. I have ADHD, very little friends, and you’ll often catch me participating in aircraft-related forums.

Here are a few of my favorite aircraft:

F-101 Voodoo: The F-101 Voodoo was designed in the cold war to intercept strategic soviet bomber entering American airspace, such as the Tu-95 Bear, as well as being designed as a fighter bomber, capable of carrying missiles and rockets such as the AIM-4 Falcon, along with the nuclear tipped unguided AIR-2 Genie. The F-101 set several speed records in testing, where it was able to around Mach 1.6 (1.6 times the speed of sound) setting new speed records for a few months before the F-104 took it from it.

Be-200 Altair: The Beriev Be-200 is an amphibious jet aircraft, designed to be multirole. it features numerus options, such as Aerial Firefighting, (top photo) SAR, (Search and Rescue) Maritime patrol, Cargo, and the capability to be a Regional Airliner. The Be-200 can carry up to 12,000 liters of water if firefighting, or up to 72 Passengers if acting as an airliner. interestingly, the Be-200 features 2 turbofans mounted high above the wings, giving it a unique look.

EA-6B Prowler: The EA-6B was the United States Navy/Marines main EW (Electronic Warfare) aircraft for 48 years, getting continuous updates before it was retired in 2019, covering a lot of time for a military aircraft. Surprisingly, it features 4 crew, each side-by-side in the 2 sperate cockpits. The EA-6B was based off of the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft, which after modification to fit the EW role, enabled it to carry jamming pods and AGM-88 HARMs (High speed Anti-Radiation Missile) which targets radiation, which, combined with it jamming pods, allowed it to render the enemy’s radar and electronic defenses essentially useless.

F/A-18E/F Super Hornet:The F/A-18E/F is the United States Navy’s main fighter. separated into 2 different variations, the E variant and the F variant. the main difference between the 2 is the seating, with the F/A-18E being a one-seater, while the F/A-18F is a tandem seater (one in front of the other). The F/A-18E/F features 11 hardpoints, (places where weapons are kept under the wing) goes Mach 1.8, (1.8 times the speed of sound) and with around 600 models made, including the E/A-18G variant (which ill cover next) its easy to see why both the United States, Australia, and others like to have them in their fleet.

E/A-18G Growler:The E/A-18G is the EW brother of the F/A-18E/F and the cousin of the EA-8B. It was designed to replace the Prowler, and it does so extremely well. taking up the EW role, it features advanced pods and systems, one of the coolest being the ability to make a cloud of radar signatures around it, essentially making a mask on enemy radars, allowing them to only see a cloud instead of the aircraft in the cloud. having been based on the F/A-18F, it features tandem seating with the one in front being the pilot and the one in the back being the EWO (Electronic Warfare Officer).

F-111 Aardvark (and its varients)

The F-111 (first picture) is a strike fighter used from the late 60s to the late 90s, highlighting a strong career in the US and Australian armed forces. it featured a side by side cockpit, with the left seat being for the pilot, and the right seat being for the co-pilot/WSO (Weapon Systems Officer). The F-111 has had 2 other variants, one for EW and one that more of a designated bomber. The EF-111A Raven (second picture) is the EW variant of the Aardvark, featuring the same jamming pod that the EA-6B and the E/A-18G use in its weapons bay, and antennas in its upper tailfin, it was highly effective. In fact, during desert storm, while the EF-111A Raven was on station, no friendly aircraft was shot down, highlighting the effectiveness of such an aircraft. The FB-111A Aardvark was a nuclear-capable version of the basic Aardvark. it featured terrain following radar to not be spotted while on a bombing run, improved engines and gear so that it could handle the increased weight of nuclear bombs, and a 3.5ft wider wingspan to achieve better lift.
