First blitz tournament for chess cafe group

We are starting first blitz tournament( 5 min ) for our group members.

winner will get the title of official champion of first blitz tournament of chess cafe group & also two paid books will be awarded i) A guide to chess improvement - the best of novice nook by dan heisman ii) how to choose a chess move by soltis .. any local 1st/2md/3rd winners will get 500 tk from admin purnata_2.

Tournament rules and regulations

1.Tournament will be in double round robin format where each player will challenge & play against his opponent 2 times in chess.com live chess that means one time with white pieces and next time with black pieces. Depending on the good number of players knockout groupings may be used.

2. for tie breaking sonneborn-berger system will be used, however for efficient result head-to-head performance will be used as a first tiebreak before using sonneborn-berger tiebreak system, read the last section of this article for more details - http://chess.about.com/od/rulesofchess/a/Sonneborn-berger-Tiebreaks.htm

i) According to pairings player will play on the first scheduled time, but if the player finds it very difficult to play at that time then he/she will communicate with opponent to set time(GMT time) for their game in chess.com live chess play ground on/before scheduled game date. if required we allow 1/2 more days for playing their game. Player can communicate with opponent by direct message or commenting in the tournament registration & fixture news post. Players should always check their messages.

ii) If their is disagreement on specific time, players should discuss to set another time on the same date so that no time confusion. :)

4.for the game challenge in chess.com live chess, players may need to add each other as a friend and they have to set correct settings in chess.com live chess play ground. games can be rated/unrated, everthing is available when creating challenge in live chess like setting white/black pieces, rated/unrated...etc.

5.After finishing games players should write the result with game link in the "first blitz tournament fixtures" news post to update results by admin.

6.After playing with black/white pieces players should instantly start playing next game with opposite colored pieces(black/white). Players must prepare their internet well, if there is internet or other problems during game no excuses will be taken.

7.if members greater than 6 then small knockout groupings will be created following rules written in this section - "How is seeding and group placement determined in multi-group tournaments" of this tour: help page - https://www.chess.com/tournaments/help according to the rating written by players when they registered.

8. if you can't play in tournament, you should write in the respective forum post before tournament begins.

9. Using engines and other kind of cheatings will not be allowed anyhow, if found player will be banned from group. We are experts when detecting engine usage.

good. now how join people join in tournament ....

@purnata First discuss where and how to play, then ...apnar super league mathay ache, if less than 10 members join then super league can be used.

@Admins before game date players can communicate each other to fix game time, if needed 1/2 days will be reserved, right idea?. Read "first blitz tournament for chess cafe group" forum post for rules and regulations for more details.
