New chess/martial arts related book

I just found a new (2009) strategy-oriented chess book littered with martial arts related quotes from Sun Tzu, Musashi, Bruce Lee, etc.  It is called "The Rules of Winning Chess," by Nigel Davies, and it is far superior to "Samurai Chess."   A little more chess notation than I would like however.

Great, thanks for letting us all know. Nigel Davies is a very well respected chess author as well... From the description of 'The Rules of Winning Chess' I found it doesn't look like it matches Samurai Chess for trying to actually integrate chess with other martial arts, however I will take a chess book with cool martial arts related quotes over one that doesn't!

Excellent, I might take a look at that. Heard many negatives about 'Samurai Chess'.

You're correct SOBS.  The book does focus on chess strategy, with the idea that these concepts can apply to primarily martial arts but also work in other areas of life (sports, business etc.) as well.  Additionally, ND also has a great blog:  "Grandmaster Growl."
