Based off the Hogwarts idea, I have decided to create 4 separate mini teams that can compete vs each other. These will nit be official chess.com groups, just unofficial groups within this group.

THERE WILL BE 4 TEAMS:

1. Purple Unicorns

2. Pink Dragons

3. Yellow Snakes

4. Green Dolphins

FOR OUR CURRENT 25 MEMBERS AND ALL OTHER MEMBERS, I WILL CHOOSE YOUR MINI-GROUPS RANDOMLY FOR YOU!

We will have a points competition between the 4 groups, with groups earning points for individual members doing something great!

MINI-TEAM POINTS SCORING RULEBOOK:

Article 1: Team Matches

1.1 Teams will receive 2 points for each member they have in a team match.

1.2 Teams will lose 1 point for each member any other team has in a team match.

1.3 In any team match where Chess Randomness wins all the games and gets a perfect score, teams will get 5 points for each player they have in that match.

Article 2: Vote Chess

2.1 After 3-5 moves are made in a vote chess game, an admin will tally up the points that the teams get.

2.2 Teams will get 2 points for each player they have in a vote chess game.

2.3 Teams will lose 1 point for each player another group has in a vote chess game.

2.4 Members joining after an admin has tallied up the points will not count for team points.

Article 3: Weekly Chess Puzzle

3.1 How puzzles are scored.

3.1.1 Easy Puzzles are worth 2 points.

3.1.2 Medium Puzzles are worth 3 points.

3.1.3 Hard Puzzles are worth 5 points.

3.1.4 Super-Hard Puzzles are worth 7 points.

3.2 As of December 2013, all puzzles will be posted in diagram format to prevent cheating by looking at the solution.

3.2.1 In Diagram format, the solver must also find the opponent's best move.

3.3 One player may only earn team points for two puzzles per post of puzzles.

Article 4: Chess Randomness Championship:

4.1 The winner of the Chess Randomness Championship will earn 15 points for their mini-team.

4.2 The loser of the Chess Randomness Championship will earn 8 points for their mini-team.

Article 5: New Ideas

5.1 If you suggest a new idea to the admins and it is selected and put into use, your mini-team gains 5 points.

Article 6: Admins

6.1 The admins reserve the right to randomly add points to certain teams, if the competition is not in its last week.

6.2 The admins reserve the right to move players from certain teams to other teams.

6.3 The admins reserve the right to change this rulebook, whenever, and wherever they want.
