Checkmates SL is a non-profit organization based in Freetown - Sierra Leone, dedicated to promoting and supporting the game of chess for the benefit of all. Our mission is to increase the awareness and appreciation of chess as a sport and intellectual activity and to provide opportunities for individuals of all ages and backgrounds to learn, play, and compete in the game. We host chess meet-ups every month at different locations.
