Josephite Chess Club

Josephite Chess Club is one of the oldest clubs of St. Joseph. This club was established in 1979 by Brother Lorenzo to create logicality, discernment, and fighting spirit among the students. This club is the pride of St. Joseph as it has produced great players of national and international repute like Grandmaster Niaz Murshed, Grand Master Ziaur Rahman, and Grand Master Reefat Bin Sattar. The club organizes workshops and inter-class tournaments to explore the latent talents of the students. It publishes a souvenir to make its annual festival memorable. Now it is arranging the Logic Mania fest every year with an Intra Fest. It started to arrange Logic Mania 2.0 an International fest from 2019. Here includes Cube competition along with the World Cube Association. Chess Composition in Group and Single is the main interest. Trove Chase, Cryptic Crosswords, Sudoku, GK Quiz, IQ test, Criminal identification are the rest of the events.
