The Academy Why the need for an academy, when information is all over the Internet and on multi-media format? At PACE, instruction will be guided through a combination of classroom instruction and multi-media materials. The instructor guides the player how to master the basics of the game, but in a way that encourages them to learn further. They will read the chess classics to gain deeper understanding of certain positions, whether on the attack and defending, and also to learn something of the culture of chess, its history, legacies of the world champions and the many stories and anecdotes that serve to encourage students.
