Hi, I am Aryan M. Ali, a 20 year old player who prefers to play in an aggressive and tactical style over a more solid and positional style.

I initially started with a rapid rating of around 500 in the late-middle of 2022 in another account (closed) which is indicative of a typical beginner rating. I managed to progress really fast to a chess.com blitz and bullet rating of 2300 and a chess.com rapid rating of 2200 by the middle of 2024, making it 2 years for me going from a rating of 500 to that.

One of the really interesting things about me is that I managed to progress that fast without ACTUALLY engaging in dedicated studying. I mostly gain skill simply from experience of previous games and a developing intuition.

I am trying to get my USCF rating to where it should be at, and I am hoping to reach National Master sometime in the near future!
