ABOUT ME

Welcome to my profile! My name is Josh Price, I’m an expert level player striving for NM. I am the current 2x Overall Idaho State Champion, Idaho Open Champion, and Utah Open Champion.

I’m currently 20 years of age from the great state of Idaho. I enjoy playing in tournaments and sharing my passion of chess through coaching. I’m positional player at heart, I enjoy understanding the game itself, beyond just the tactics. The positional masterpieces, the pawn structure, that slow positional ascension where you know that every move counts while you outplay your opponent…. that’s chess to me.

COACHING

I’ve been coaching for 4+ years guiding young players to national tournaments, state championships, and more. I also have helped many adult improvers become more confident in their game as they improve and play their first tournaments.
