We can see winners of the Phoenix 2024 rounds, and so teams going to playoffs will be as follows -
- GROUP A Winner - Team USA Southeast
- GROUP B Winner - Chess Team Europe
- GROUP C Winner - Egypt Chess Team
- GROUP D Winner - Chess Champions Legion
We will leave a few days to allow for questions and then will post the playoff schedule
There are 2 per group, what happened?
Playoffs
The two highest-scoring teams from each group will enter the playoff, which is also a round-robin.
There will be 8 teams in the playoffs, with 7 rounds.
Playoff matches will start in January/February 2025, with matches every 2 weeks.

I calculated the Sonneborn-Berger score to determine tiebreaks for second place for groups A and B. As mentioned above, there will be 8 teams in the playoffs, the top 2 from each group.
