Programing is what I do for income, but artist is what I am. Retirement will be painting to live and chess for fun, which I've ben playing since I was 5 (that's 92% of my life now). And so it is what it is.

My best game was against Joel Benjamin in a simul in 1986. I made an inspired rook move and got a draw, almost a win. It was a QGD, and I was the last man standing (all 28 of us were male, it was 1986). My favorite opening is the Marshall gambit of the Ruy Lopez, hands down, albeit a pawn down.
