Mediocre engineers make things complicated; great engineers make things simple.

Intelligence is how fast you can solve a puzzle; experience is already knowing the answer.

Education by itself does not make you smart, innovative, or interesting.

You can't put in what God left out.

You can't fix stupid.

Educate somebody beyond his level of intelligence, and you are left with an expensive idiot.

No battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy.

They tell me that my IQ is over 150. So then why do I suck at chess? Don't know exactly; not wired for that kind of puzzle, I guess. Plus I don't care enough about chess to focus on a game or to improve. While I play, I'm usually eating, drinking, thinking, designing, and/or waiting on the computer to finish rendering. Chess to me is mindless fun, and will never become anything more, which is why I very rarely play rated games.
