My Grandfather taught me to play chess when I was 6 years old, but the only thing I understood at the time was how the pieces should move. When I was 20 years old I lived in a collective with a guy who made me interested again and he had the opening game of chess with my guru Bent Larsen. 28 year old, I enrolled for the first time in a chess club Horsens chess club, a great club. I had for a few years, thought that it might be cool to be able to live on his hobby, so that was my plan, I would be as good as I could make a living. When I was 30-31 years I was risen from my start rating of 1200 to about 1500 there I could see that it had a distant prospect. HAHA, naive as I was, but I became lot smarter.
