The Crossroads Chess Club was founded in 2015 with the purpose of providing access to the game of chess to disadvantaged individuals, who may not have had the opportunity to participate in the past due to financial barriers. Our organization is dedicated to fostering cognitive development, personal growth and life-long skills through the game of chess. We are committed to making a positive impact in our community by providing a supportive and inclusive environment for members of all skill levels. Our club welcomes beginners and experienced players alike and we strive to create a space where individuals can come together to learn, play and grow together. Our organization is dedicated to promoting the benefits of chess and its ability to improve cognitive abilities and personal development. We believe that the strategies and skills learned through chess can be applied in other areas of life, and thus, we work to equip our members with the tools they need to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
