Invented another sort of chess, 'Fair-Chess' , see

Fair-chess (FC) default is removing the intrinsic advantage for White by removing the f2 and c7 pawns. There's also FC with handicaps (*) an awesome chess training tool And in such a way also opening theory isn't important anymore. 

(*) handicap chess  with  severity of the handicaps defined by rating (class) differences 
creating an overall more pleasant and social experience comparable  with  eg. Go (or Golf,  )
increasing the winning chances for weaker players, diminishing  the importance 
of opening theory, and yet  preserving  the competitiveness  and overall  
rating differences between players of different strength
