I’m from Jersey in the Channel Islands, but I live in Paris, France.I learned to play chess in December 2020 and started streaming chess on Twitch a few months later.Since then, I have set up and played board 1 for my nation’s first ever Women’s Chess Olympiad team, participated in the inaugural BBC television programme Chess Masters (where I reached the final!) and I am a board member of the Women in Chess Foundation, a charity focusing on making chess a safer place for everybody.If you’re wondering about my WCM title, I achieved this at the 2022 FIDE Olympiad in Chennai where I scored 4.5/7 games, fulfilling the title requirement. When in 1985 Greg Serper was invited to the famous Kasparov-Botvinnik school, he was really inspired by Kasparov's story. Garry insisted that he was destined to become the 13th World Champion since he was born on April 13. Since Greg was born on September 14 he saw it as a very good omen. Alas, this great sign was enough only to tie for first in the World Junior Championship (1988) and win the European Junior Championship (1989), World Open (1999) and a bunch of national and international tournaments. These days Greg teaches chess full time, writes a weekly column for Chess.com, and is proud to have dozens of National and State Champions among his students.

My last novel 'The Lively Library & An Unlikely Romance' is a story of a library where books come to life at night.  My username was Geborgenheit previously. Geborgenheit is a german word which is hard to explain. It can only be experienced; It could also be inner peace of your soul. Google says 'security' but it is more than that!I do stream sometimes!
