The CHESS QUEST is a vibrant and welcoming community for chess enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a complete beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced tournament player seeking a new challenge, our club offers a friendly and engaging environment for everyone to enjoy the game.
We believe in the power of chess to foster critical thinking, creativity, and sportsmanship. Our goal is to promote a passion for the game while building a strong, inclusive community.
What we offer
Casual Play: Enjoy informal "friendly" games in a relaxed setting. It's a great way to meet new people and have fun.
Club Tournaments: Test your skills in our in-house competitions and see how you stack up against other club members. We organize various formats, such as ladder tournaments and swiss-system events.
Instruction and Analysis: Learn from more experienced players through lectures, game analysis, and strategy discussions. We offer support to help players of all levels improve their skills.
Online and Over-the-Board Play: We offer both in-person meetings for traditional play and an online presence (on platforms like Chess.com or Lichess) for members to connect between meetings.
Puzzles and Activities: Sharpen your tactical abilities with weekly chess puzzles and unique game variants to keep things fresh and exciting.
