Play Like A World Champion: Petrosian and Spassky

In 1963 Tigran Petrosian unseated Mikhail Botvinnik as world champion for the final time. Petrosian was a defensive genius and held his title again in 1966 against Boris Spassky. In 1969 Spassky won another candidates cycle and defeated Petrosian to take the title.

In 1963 Botvinnik defended his title for the final time against Tigran Petrosian. Afterward, Botvinnik said that he had difficulty predicting Petrosian's moves. Petrosian won several long endgames and took the match 12.5-9.5 to become the 9th World Champion.
