Hello everyone!/ Hola a todos!

My name is Brian Escalante Ramirez, and I'm a Grand Master from Peru. Currently, I'm studying at The University of Texas at Dallas and play for their multi-award-winning Chess Team in Collegiate Tournaments. I would be more than happy to help people of different ages and levels to improve their chess. Also, I'm available to play training games at different time controls. These are some of my student's achievements:

  • Increases of 200+ FIDE rating points and 400+ USCF rating points
  • Spokane City Champion
  • Coached the Medalist Nicollet Middle School Chess Team at the Middle School Chess Nationals 2022.

My current FIDE rating: 2500

USCF rating: 2588

1-hour private lesson - I will create a personalized training plan suited to your needs in which we will reinforce your strengths and reduce your weaknesses. We will look at different aspects of chess, such as tactics, positional play, strategy, openings, endgames, etc. Also, we will go through your most recent games played in a tournament in order to correct the mistakes made, so you don't make them again in future games.

$80 (If paid for 3 lessons in advance: $220)

30-Minute Introductory Lesson - I will get to know your chess background and experience. We will discuss your short-term and long-term goals as these will be the fuel to keep you motivated during your chess journey. Also, we'll play some games followed by an analysis and summary of what I think your biggest areas for improvement are. Overall, I will get a better feeling of what things we need to work on the most and you will get a better idea of what working with me looks like going forward.
